What Cloak & Draft does with your details. Short version: as little as possible.

Who holds your details

This competition is run by one person, privately, for a small group. There is no company behind it and nothing is sold to anyone.

What is collected

  • Your name and email address, when you enter or ask for a reminder.
  • The picks, predictions and award votes you submit.
  • Whether you have paid your entry fee, and any note about it.
  • Anything you type into the contact form or the news feed comments.
  • If you enter: whether you want to hear about future competitions, and when you were asked.

Payments are handled by a bank link and never touch this website, so no card or bank details are collected or stored here.

Why

To run the competition: to know whose picks are whose, to score them, to show the leaderboard, to keep track of who has paid, and to email you about the competition - your confirmation, a reminder before entries close, and updates as the series runs. You get those because you entered; they are part of the competition itself.

Separately, if you enter, your name and email also go on a list used to tell you when a new Danni’s Fun Competition opens - a few emails a year at most. There is a box for this on the last screen before you submit your entry. It is ticked to start with, so if you left it alone you are on the list; untick it and you are not. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and leaving that list never affects the emails about a competition you have actually entered. Asking only for a reminder does not put you on it. Your details are never sold, never shared with anyone else, and never used to advertise anything that is not one of these competitions.

Who else can see it

Other entrants can see your name, your picks and your score once entries close - that is the competition. Your email address is never shown to anyone else.

Behind the scenes the site uses Supabase to store data, Vercel to host the site and Brevo to send email. They process it on the competition’s behalf and for no other purpose.

How long

Until the competition finishes and the results are settled, plus a while afterwards so past results can still be looked back on. Reminder sign-ups are deleted once entries close. Ask and yours will be removed sooner.

The future-competitions list is the exception: it outlives this competition on purpose, because that is the whole point of it. You come off it the moment you ask or click unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask to see what is held about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted, and you can ask to stop receiving emails at any time. Just ask - it is a small competition and there is no process to go through.

If you are ever unhappy with how your details have been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
